Sinds 01.09.2021 boetes voor o.m. niet-registratie in UBO-register
Sinds begin 2020 moeten (de bestuurders van) vennootschappen in het zgn. UBO-register registreren wie hun ‘uiteindelijke begunstigden’ zijn.
Sinds begin 2020 moeten (de bestuurders van) vennootschappen in het zgn. UBO-register registreren wie hun ‘uiteindelijke begunstigden’ zijn. Ook vzw's, stichtingen en maatschappen moeten hun begunstigden registreren. De deadline daarvoor was gezet 31.08.2021, en de fiscus heeft sinds vorig jaar herinneringsbrieven verstuurd met bedrijven die nog niet in orde waren met de registratie.
De fiscus is vanaf 01.09.2021 begonnen met het opleggen van administratieve boetes (van € 250 tot € 50.000) voor hen die geen gevolg hebben gegeven aan de herinneringsbrief. Eind augustus 2021 was ook de deadline voor een andere UBO-verplichting, nl. toevoegen van bewijsstukken die aantonen dat de informatie die in het UBO-register werd opgenomen, juist is. Ook hier dreigt een boete voor hen die vóór 01.09.2021 geen bewijsstuk hebben toegevoegd.
